G2 Ops Visits Washington, D.C. for Congressional Meetings
Virginia Beach, VA, USA | 17 September 2024 –
G2 Ops’ recent September 11 visit to Washington, D.C. provided several opportunities to meet with key Congressional offices, as well as remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. It was a fitting time for CEO Tracy Gregorio and CBO Kevin Esser to represent G2 Ops, discussing our cutting-edge digital engineering and cybersecurity work and highlighting our contributions to strengthening national security.
The day began with a visit to Congresswoman Jen Kiggans (VA-02), who expressed great interest in G2 Ops’ projects for the submarine force. She recalled her experience visiting our facilities in August 2023 and was curious about Lil’ Sys, an application G2 Ops developed to help children understand the basics of systems engineering. This was also an excellent opportunity to highlight the impact of our work with the Lincoln Battle Group, which will inform future deployments, including that of the upcoming Ford Battle Group.
Next, Tracy and Kevin met with the legislative director for Congressman Mike Rogers, Chair of the House Armed Services Committee. While this was an introductory meeting, it was an important step in familiarizing key decision-makers with G2 Ops and the vital work we do. The meeting went well, and they look forward to continuing the conversation.
Later, Tracy and Kevin spoke with Zach Lewis from Senator Mark Warner’s office. Zach has a deep understanding of defense matters and asked insightful questions about G2 Ops’ cybersecurity and model-based systems engineering initiatives. He was particularly interested in our recruitment efforts and impressed by our ability to attract and retain top talent, thanks to the collaborative environment we’ve built.
Finally, Tracy and Kevin met with a staffer from Senator Tim Kaine’s office, where they discussed the power of digital twins in managing highly integrated systems. Senator Kaine’s office is eager for future updates and sees G2 Ops as a key player in advancing these technologies.
These meetings have strengthened G2 Ops’ relationships with key government stakeholders and reaffirmed that we are on a path of growth and innovation, making an impact today while positioning us for even greater success in the future.
