G2 Ops’ SOFIA Deemed Awardable Through CDAO Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace SBIR Aisle
Model-Based Cyber Risk Decision Platform connects cybersecurity, system architecture, threat intelligence, and mission impact to support faster, mission-informed decisions.
Virginia Beach, VA, USA | 02 October 2026
G2 Ops, Inc., specializing in digital engineering, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled analytics, today announced that SOFIA, A Model-Based Cyber Risk Decision Platform, has been deemed Awardable through the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s (CDAO) Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace SBIR Aisle.
The Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace is the premier offering of Tradewinds, the Department of War’s suite of tools and services designed to accelerate the procurement and adoption of AI/ML, digital, and data analytics capabilities. The SBIR Aisle is a specialized enclave that provides small businesses greater visibility for post-competitive SBIR/STTR solutions.
SOFIA, Strategic Optics for Intelligent Analytics, is a model-based cyber risk decision platform that connects vulnerability data, system architecture, threat intelligence, cybersecurity controls, and mission dependencies in a persistent digital representation of the operating environment. Rather than evaluating vulnerabilities by technical severity alone, SOFIA helps organizations understand which cyber risks have the greatest potential impact on mission and operational outcomes.
SOFIA uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and model-based analytics to automate cyber analysis at scale. These capabilities help decision makers prioritize limited remediation resources against the risks that matter most.
“SOFIA was built to answer a simple but difficult question: when a vulnerability appears, what does it actually mean to the mission?” said Dr. Corren McCoy, Chief Data Strategist at G2 Ops. “Tradewinds Awardable status gives Government Customers a more direct path to evaluate and acquire a capability that connects cyber risk to the system architecture and operational context they already manage. For us, this milestone is about getting proven model-based cyber analytics into the hands of decision makers faster.”
SOFIA originated through the Small Business Innovation Research program and has progressed from SBIR Phase II development to Phase III Navy use. Its model-based approach supports continuous monitoring, vulnerability prioritization, cybersecurity risk assessment, and authorization modernization while preserving traceability to the underlying system architecture and engineering evidence.
The SOFIA solution video, “SOFIA, A Model-Based Cyber Risk Decision Platform,” is accessible to Government Customers through the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace. Government Customers can use the Marketplace to review the capability, communicate directly with G2 Ops, request additional information or demonstrations, and engage contracting support when ready to pursue an acquisition.
Government customers interested in viewing SOFIA can create a Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace account at tradewindAI.com.
