Biography

Bob Alpigini serves as the Chief of Strategic Initiatives at G2 Ops. In his nearly 30 years of experience in the Department of Defense (DoD), Bob has an exceptional career that includes 22 years of active-duty service a Surface Warfare Officer and continued work in technology and organizational management.

Throughout his naval career, he performed in numerous roles of operational importance and strategic significance. As a Global Security and Middle East operations expert on the Joint Staff, he was responsible for developing strategy and providing best military advice to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of Defense, and President. Prior to that, Bob was the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer of the highly decorated Ballistic Missile Defense Aegis Destroyer, USS STOUT (DDG 55), leading his ship in combat operations and numerous critical national missions around the globe. Additionally, Bob served with the elite Naval Special Warfare Development Group in Dam Neck, VA, developing and leading highly sophisticated Special Programs which innovated nationally critical Special Operations.

After selection to the rank of Captain, Bob retired in 2018 and settled with his family in Virginia Beach, VA to focus on business and leadership career interests.

In his current position as Chief of Staff to G2 Ops, Inc, based in Virginia Beach, VA, Bob leverages his expertise in organizational leadership, strategic analysis, executive management, and leadership development to lead the complex business solutions in Systems Engineering and Cyber Security, and Cloud Engineering.

Bob earned his Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy in 1996 and a Masters of Public Administration from the Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. Beyond his professional pursuits and robust family life, Bob is also the Head Varsity Crew Coach at Cape Henry Collegiate in Virginia Beach.
