G2 Ops participates in the United Way Day of Caring

In 1991, United Way established the Day of Caring in order to “promote the spirit of volunteerism, increase awareness of local human service organization and demonstrate how people working together for the common good can accomplish great things.” On September 11, 2015, over 1,000 volunteers from businesses across Hampton Roads contributed a day of volunteerism to local nonprofit organizations and schools, completing tasks such as landscaping, painting, gardening and direct client support. G2 Ops served on a project with the Virginia Beach Police Department. The Department hosted a workforce development seminar and training called “You’re Hired” for unemployed women in Virginia Beach.  Volunteers from G2 Ops‘ Corporate Headquarters in Virginia Beach mentored women in a variety of skills necessary for a job search, including writing resumes, setting goals, and strengthening interview skills.
