On Sunday, December 4th, 2016, G2 Ops employee Joseph Bell was promoted to Commanding Officer of the Navy Reserve Undersea Rescue Command (NR URC). The NR URC, the U.S. Navy’s only submarine rescue program, is a combined Active Duty, Reserve, Contractor, Government team of which the Reserve makes up the majority with approx. 60+ personnel. The unit’s mission is to effect rescues of personnel from ‘distressed submarines and submersibles’ anywhere in the world and is part of an international submarine rescue enterprise consisting of many different countries.
G2 Ops is privileged to have Bell on staff as a Senior Systems Engineer for the San Diego branch of G2 Ops, Inc., and thank him for his service to our country.
